I recently spoke with a homeless guy who was a pastor, but he didn’t receive at first. Another soulwinner named Steve prayed for him and had a word for him that “something is going to happen to you tonight between 7 – 10 p.m.” I went back a week later, and the homeless man accepted Jesus. He said that the night that Steve gave him the word, he went to get high but didn’t and has been off crack ever since.
I went to a nursing home and prayed with 8 staff members. We had a lot of favor today, and I prayed with many between the ages of 90-99 years old!! Altogether, I prayed with 43 people!
Today was my first time going out soul winning. I went to a nursing home. Outside in the courtyard two women accepted Jesus, and one said, “This is what I needed today.” Altogether, I prayed with 6 people to receive Christ.
I went to a nursing home today and prayed with a Jewish lady who at first said, “But I’m Jewish.” After the nursing home, we went to the streets and prayed with a guy at a bus stop. I also got to lead two Spanish people to Jesus. Through the whole day, I prayed with a total of 14 people.
“Igniting a Generation”, was absolutely amazing! I have never experienced a camp meeting like this before. From the diversity in music to the speakers God demonstrated His creativity and His ability to use absolutely anyone He chooses to help ignite a generation!
Personally, I came to the realization that I no longer have room to complain. When Pastor Joel Stockstill gave his testimony, I realize that the call God has on my life is a great thing and will be an awesome journey; but I may face tribulations along the way. This does not give me the right to give up or be depressed, but rather persevere with all my might! When I realized that this great man of God still ministers with no kidneys, loss his wife to cancer and is still going through treatment 3 days a week, my problems are so small! This camp meeting caused me to step outside of myself and “my world” and realize that the people that need to be reached are far more important than my issues. That God has called me and has equipped me with everything I need to get the job done!
Another life changing moment for me was the fact that God really does use anyone! Every speaker had such an awesome testimony of God’s saving grace and power. The speakers helped me see that I do not have to be perfect but simply obeying the call! I think sometimes I get caught up in wanting to have everything right before God can use me. Or sometimes I think I mess up so many times that God might be disappointed in me. But thank God for His righteousness that is imputed to me, and all I have do to is just be willing to obey and move forward with whatever He has called me to do.
No matter what I face, or the circumstances surrounding me, I must press toward the mark; not looking to my right or left, but keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus!
I was in the 6-12 children’s ministry on Sunday, the 13th of December. Joe was leading the service and it was awesome for the kids. The children were super excited the entire length of service. All of the games involved the children getting messy and having a great time, while teaching them about the word at the same time. In one of the games they kids were smashing plates of whip cream into their faces, ashed a raw on their head, then they had to wash their face with water. The whip cream and the raw egg represented sin in their life and the water represented Jesus and his cleansing power to wash their sins away. The children loved the game because they got to get messy but they also got a good message that they could remember about sin and Jesus’ power. After the games were done, Joe had a message about what Jesus did on the cross. Joe was not afraid to tell them how Jesus suffered and what the roman soldiers did to Jesus. After finishing the message, Joe simply asked the children if they would like to step over and get on Jesus’ side and not the devil’s side. Almost all of the children raised their hands. It was awesome how the Holy Spirit drew them to Jesus. There was no coercing in his asking just the love of God. He asked the children to come up with him on the stage and the stage was full of kids, over 150 first time decisions to accept Jesus were made. That was awesome! I was amazed to see how much all of them just wanted Jesus to come into their lives. Most of those children were first time visitors, many from the bus ministry. I have no idea what will happen in those children’s lives, but they will always know Jesus’ loves them and they can always run to Him when they are in trouble. I may not see any of them again, this side of Heaven but I know God is going to do awesome things for His kingdom through many of them.
This year’s winter camp meeting was definitely a struggle for me and my busy work schedule; however it was also a great learning experience for me because of it. I had to learn how to balance work and my responsibilities at the church.
The week of camp meeting was also the week one of the other employees was fired and I was the only one who could work nights so I was working forty plus hours a week, and then coming to service and staying until one-two in the morning. It was a challenge but I got through and feel stronger now and feel as if I can take on more responsibilities. That week a also with out my knowledge was but in charge of children’s church with a fellow students (he knew we were in charge) and I was put in charge of the offering message and so I was put to the test of being prepared in and out of season. The message was great the children really enjoyed it; it was interactive so they did not feel bored or “out” of the moment, they were right there with me and had a great time. The other student taught the message and we had an alter call to except Christ, I found that sp amazing how many came up to pray. It was awesome. Then we prayed with the kids and the power of God hit the place all the children where on the ground laughing and crying, God has never used me in that way before and it was really an awesome experience for me. During the week I did work camera a lot and that was fun it was hard at time especially when service went long but we all worked it out and worked together, I was happy that I could help and be a blessing to the people in productions because they work so hard and they did not need the extra stress of not having enough camera operators. I also helped out in that nursery a few times which I love, I love working with children and babies. Working in the nursery is a different experience all together, those babies can teach you so much it is amazing.
Winter camp meeting 2010 was hard, but amazing all at the same time, I learned a lot, and grew stronger in the things of God. It was an amazing experience all around no matter where I was serving or who I was serving with, because ultimately I was serving God and that is all that matters.
The winter camp meeting of 2010 was the greatest camp meeting of my life. It started with the first few days about hungering for the things of God. Letting the fire burn out what is not of Him. Drawing nearer to God and getting rid of the things of the flesh. As the meetings continued even though I was serving you could feel the atmosphere and presence of God building. On Monday night pastor Adonica had tried to share her testimony on when she had been touched by the Lord. As people were laughing and being ministered to I asked the Lord to touch me in the same way. I reminded Him that His word says that he is not a respecter of persons and if he touched others that were seeking Him he would have to do the same for me. After praying about it that night, I went on pretty well forgetting about what I had asked Him and just kept seeking his presence. The next couple of days were about consecration and hunger and you could sense the meetings growing.
Jan 28th 2010 came. It was Thursday night. That evening there were many reasons that I could have chosen not to come, but, to me there was no other option. I wanted to be touched by Him. The only reason I had moved to Tampa to the River was to meet God. It had cost me everything.
That night He changed my life. I still can’t even talk about it but for some reason I can type it. I was seated behind Pastors Allen and Pastor Todd. When I felt the presence and power of God coming from the center stage area where Pastor Rodney was ministering.
I watched as both Pastors fell out of their seats in front of me and I tried to stay seated because I was serving but was unable to. For the next three hours I was on the floor laughing and crying as the Presence of God was doing a work in me. There where areas in my life that were changed instantly, others that I am still finding out about. I have been more equipped to handle the storms that have been coming against me. I know there are things that have not come to fruition that were imparted to me that night.
I am hungrier for a move of God than ever before. God answered my prayer four nights later. To be there and see Pastor Rodney and his family on what he called the highlight of his 30 years in ministry was an honor and a privilege. I am marked by God and I will never be the same.
May the Lord Bless your Great Awakening Tour. This is a belated Thank you and testimony: I have been following your God TV programmes and since late January (29th)I received the Gift of tounges after calling your prayerline.I struggled a bit on the night when i called you, however, I was “humming” a song called “To Worship You” in our office the following morning.Suddenly i was speaking in tongues! Today was good. We went and spoke today with people who seemed as though they needed encouragement and we were able to share with them the love of God and the hope He brings through His son, Jesus Christ. Drs.Rodney & Adonica Howard-Browne I sent in a prayer request for deliverance from oppression from my supervisor. I was oppressed by a troublesome supervisor for 7 years. On April 6th, he had a big fight with our Manager and as a result he was terminated with immediate effect! And the management issued me a letter authorizing me as the accounts supervisor. I give all the glory and honour to our Lord Jesus Christ. I am not gloatig. Our Lord sees our afflictions and He will surely deliver us from all our troubles. I take this opportunity to thank you and your prayer team. Kind regards
I have been going to nursing homes & it’s awesome what God is doing for those old people, who prayed with me the prayer of salvation. It was wonderful how God’s Holy Spirit moved through us to witness to those people, to me it was awesome how many said yes, I would ask you to pray for me. This has been wonderful to me to be a part of the soulwinning teams. Praise God for RMI ministries. Our church had been believing God for a more effective method of evangelism. In past years we have all gone door to door inviting people to a meeting so they could get saved. Yesterday I led 56 people to the Lord going mostly door to door. With the same amount of time and effort I saw that many salvations instead of just invitations! That’s more people in 1 day than I have led personally to the Lord in my lifetime! I say “I’m a soulwinner and I go to a church of soul winners! I and my husband pastor Living Water Church in Gainesville
Man came up on we were witnessing to some one and ask for us to pray for his father who had tried to commit suicide. We ask about his father and hospital. We went to meet father in hospital but he was sedated. And he could not talk but we prayed for him and will try to see him tomorrow to see if he is awalk. Lady-aunt Betty received Christ-niece served in Jacksonville. 37 got saved in nursing homes. UF dams, football player, 4 salvations. Tuesday; answered the door “high”(on drugs) when she received Jesus she was sober and crying.
Lady at UF never heard that God loves her. Prayed for student-“thank you so much”. 20 salvations. I met two young men;daniel Poniagua, and Donnie Green. Donnie was walking and did not stop, I just kept walking alongside and using the script. He met up with Daniel and then I walked with both of them. They did not know if they were going to Heaven, but had a little church background. I prayed for each of them and noticed Daniel’s wrist was bondaged, swollen and his ear had been cut. He told me his girlfriend had tried to stab him and he had no place to live now. He was from Miami and had no family here. I prayed again with them for safety, comfort and peace. Immediately he said he felt better. Then I went into the gospel and both Daniel and Donnie received Jesus. Daniel had tears in his eyes. He is 27 yrs old and Donnie is 23 yrs old. Daniel is hispanic and I told him about Ignite Life Center. Daniel will be staying with Donnie temporarily. They were very grateful and smiled as we parted.
